Lessons Learned Server Version 1.2.0 Released

Release 1.2.0 went through many enhancements and feature additions mainly focusing on content editing and advanced search features.

The content editor has now been completely reformed to support embedding media types wihtin content. Other improvements include keyboard shortcuts, better table editing, color highlighting selectors, easy editor resizing and the ability for full screen editing views.

An advanced search panel has been added that allows finer control on the search results including the ability to limit search queries within a specific profile, a specific time range or a selected content type. The search panel also allows sorting search results by relevance or modification date.

Extra improvements had also been applied to the search indexes which now index comments as well. This simply means that all the discussion area is now searchable as well as the main content.

Rich comment editing is another feature worth mentioning for this version. The simple text area has been removed in favor of a more sophisticated comment editor that allows placing different fonts, styles, colors, emoticons or even images.

In addition, many small refinements have been applied in different places through the application to solve some of the inconveniences experienced in the previous versions.

Thats about it for this version briefing. Expect in next releases functionalities focusing on valuable content extraction from documents and files within Lessons Learned Server and the ability to search within.
