BloxAMP Installer Launched

Bloxware launched a production quality Apache, MySQL and PHP installer for Windows available under the GPL license. The decision was made due to the lack of 'production quality' free WAMP installers.

In addition, the installer also integrates eAccelerator which is a compilation & caching module for PHP code that will allow for five to ten times performance gains in web script execution time.

The Lessons Learned Server Application can still run under any Apache, MySQL and PHP installation. But the BloxAMP installer will greatly simplify the installation process for those who dont have an environment ready on Windows.

No plans have been set yet for a Linux version of the BloxAMP installer since many linux distributions come pre-packaged with a homogeneous combination of Apache, MySQL and PHP.

BloxAMP is a completely independent 'WAMP' installer for Windows and can be used to run different LAMP Based Web applications.
